A Typical Fishing Day

On a typical fishing day I will collect you from your accommodation between 8.00 and 8.30am, or earlier by arrangement. We normally fish until late afternoon or early evening. If you should wish to fish the evening rise we would finish earlier in the afternoon and take a meal break before venturing out again until dark.

Transport

Your guide will provide 4WD transport in a comfortable, well maintained vehicle. I am a cautious, sensible driver with an accident free record.

Accommodation and Meals

On trips away from base we will stay in hotels, motels or home/farmstays which have been selected for their comfort and location close to good fishing. It is expected that the client/s cover the guide’s costs as well as their own.

Camp-outs

Some clients enjoy camping on location. In good weather this is a great experience. I am well equipped to cover this. The cost of food and beverages will be added onto the daily guiding rate. Typically, this is in the range of NZD$80-$100 per day per person.
